  • The Optical Snoot from walimex offers quite special light effects. In connection with a flash head as light source, it throws, depending on your insertion, different colours and patterns on your background, which creates wonderful light atmospheres and effects. It comes with a projector.
  • A snoot gives a harder, more defined edge which is useful when you want a tight beam of light and a rapid fall-off of light. The grid provides a smoother, more gradual gradient of light.
  • A beauty dish is a photographic lighting device that uses a parabolic reflector to distribute light towards a focal point. The light created is between that of a direct flash and a softbox, giving the image a wrapped, contrasted look, which adds a more dramatic effect. There are many uses for a beauty dish, but its basic function is to provide a focused source of light for photographers. The beauty dish is used in portrait and fashion photography, because it is the best modifier for concentrating light on a subject and creating a better image than other modifiers. Because the beauty dish wraps the light around the subject it gives the image a better contrast and highlights angles that other modifiers wouldn't be able to highlight, which is why most fashion photographers use them for their models. The same goes for portrait and sports photography. This one is appropriate for Profoto or Bowens adapter rings.
  • - GOLD surface: for high contrast warm light- SILVER surface: for high contrast cold light increasing the high lights- WHITE surface: for very soft, low contrast natural light- TRANSPARENT surface: for diffusing any kind of light, providing softness and extremely soft shadows- BLACK surface: totally absorbs light, reduces reflections and shields the subject FEATURES- High quality materials, designed to be durable and dependable- Folds down to about 1/3 of its open size- Flexible spring frame, easy spreading and closing SPECIFICATION- Size : 120cm x 180cm
  • This portable all in 1 120cm / 48″ round reflector kit is handy for any situation when out on location or in a studio. It folds down to a small 48cm circle and comes in a carry bag.Reflectors are lighting modifiers that are not directly hooked up to your lighting. There are several different colors of reflectors available, and this element is the most important factor in choosing your reflector. Silver reflectors brighten your picture without affecting the light color; white produces a neutral fill, without any colour or quality changes to the light; gold adds warmth to the colour profile; black introduces negative fill – effectively removing light from the subject to increase contrast and interest; translucent will diffuse stark light sources and soften the lighting
  • Strip softboxes have a narrow, rectangular shape much like the striplights used in the theater. They give off a deeper, a more intense (yet still soft) light and are excellent for light-shaping.
  • Chimera softboxes make different strengths of diffusion material for front face applications.Perfect for Arri 1.2k, 2.5k or 4k HMI lights
  • The Elinchrom Deflector Set gives photographers the freedom to easily modify the hardness / softness of their lights. Deflectors can eliminate, soften or tone sharp shadow edges. Very efficient with the Elinchrom softbox and reflector range. Just connect a rod to your chosen deflector and slot it into the umbrella tube on your Elinchrom flash head.
    • The centered umbrella tube, enables you the choice of which Deflector to be used with a wide range of Elinchrom heads and accessories.
    • With the front diffuser removed, the Portalite softbox is effectively a fold up beauty dish, the only difference being that any catch-light from the Portalite will be square, where with a beauty dish it would be round.
    • With the Portalite assembled without the diffuser, the direct flash light creates a very hard edged shadow, which is partially filled in with the softer but un-diffused light reflecting from the silver fabric of the softbox.
    • Each deflector when fitted, simply modifies the relative proportions of the hard direct light from the flashtube, and the softer reflected un-diffused light from the silver fabric.
    • The translucent and clear deflectors allow some direct light but diffuse it to a greater or lesser extent.
    • The silver and gold deflectors completely block the direct light from the flashtube, removing harsh edged shadows and leaving just the light that has hit the modifier.
  • An umbrella is one of the most simple and straightforward flash modifiers and, as such, it is one of the most versatile. Reflective umbrellas are designed to have the flash fire into them, reflect, and then bounce the light onto the subject. The umbrella expands the size of the light source, and the resulting light has a broader, softer quality compared to a bare flash. Reflective umbrellas have an opaque covering on the outside to prevent light from passing through and escaping. This ability to contain the light makes it a more efficient light source than a plain white, translucent umbrella through which light passes.Silver-lined umbrellas will help intensify the quality of light with little or no color cast.

  • Umbrellas are the backbone of many photographers’ toolboxes, and understandably so. Umbrellas are affordable, easy to work with and very easy to transport. The fabrics have been selected to provide a superior quality of light over years of heavy-duty use, and the metallic elements have been surface treated to prevent rust and discoloration. The white versions create an even, diffused light with soft shadows, and the closer the umbrella is placed to the subject, the softer the shadows will be.
